  4. I wouldn’t have recognized you, though I must say I love the beard. Have fun. Looking at your photos, I’m glad I climbed up the Acropolis when I was young; I’d never make it up there now. My roommates and I stayed at a Class C “hotel.” Very cheap. I had a carton of cigarettes with me until I didn’t. Light fingered “housekeeping.”

    1. If I grew in the beard now, it would be white. Not sure it would be the best look for me. I’m wondering about climbing up to the Acropolis myself (oof!).

Hi Stan! Steve and I really enjoyed your blog (especially the picture of the “young” Stan).  Can you add Steve to your list of recipients? (4steven999@gmail.com).  He told me, “I look forward to his next Greek blogpost from a more recent experience.” Thanks! There are many with wonderful view of the caldera but we didn’t actually go to any tavernas. Bring your patience as the narrow streets are very crowded.

We were on a tour to avoid the cable car wait (each way) and the donkey poo steps. The tour picked us up by bus at the landing and returned us to the same landing to catch the tender boat.
